What do you think about the guardian charging for online? (268 Words)

If a store owner does not have camera's and turns his back is it ok to steal a candy bar?

Candy bar is nothing like online news article - two are not even similar.

Me, reading news article, does not really take anyone's copyright away - it does not take away anything from anyone. Stealing chocolate bar is completely different thing.

???

Who wrote the article and do they not get paid for it?

I find it weird how people can find all kinds of ways to justify what they do.

You take/use something that you didn't have permission to have/use or give proper compensation for, that's pretty much the definition of stealing.

It really always has been, it's just that now now the internet has made it easier to steal and easier to track and catch people.

Copyright theft is theft, and the Internet makes it pretty easy to do. However if you have a simple option selected in your web browser to disable 3rd party cookies (which I recommend that you have enabled) and this in turn allows you to view a website that is attempting to make you pay, I don't agree that this is theft. You are not doing anything wrong and it is up to the guardian to implement stronger security as their first attempt was a pretty poor attempt! It would be like trying to make you pay for a concert and you standing in the field right beside and watching/listening since they didn't put up a proper fence....

The Holman Grand barely makes the news again. (301 Words)

It may be tabled because there is so many tax dollars involved and repayments that need to be arranged for Island business.
My worry is, and word is, that they got even more money from the PEI government aka the tax payer, to make this deal happen.

Or one could say,it would not be tabled because of the amount of taxpayers dollars involved in it too.

By the said amount on Compass it is now 32 million instead of the 16 million that was stated before the deal.So this in itself leads one to believe another 16 million was handed over in the deal.
This sounds like a car company deal were we are told they are too big to fail.

The only thing the Government would even have the legal right to table would be the deal where the government lent the money. This is a deal between two businesses where one is buying the assets of another. While there are taxpayers dollars in the mix on outstanding loans, and as a creditor, the Province had to OK the deal, they have no legal right to publish any details of the deal. This would violate just about every privacy law in the province and country. That being said, as a publicly traded company, much of the Financials of the deal from that perspective will have to be reported to share holders and have to be reported in Securities filing. They are a b&^th to read, but the info will eventually be released in those reports.

The original deal was over two years ago and we still do not know the details in it.
So i can not seeing this one tabled. ...

Z-O-P-I-C-L-O-N-E 7.5MG FILM-COATED TABLETS is what he finally got to sleep, here are some side effects.

Dependence The use of benzodiazepines and benzodiazepine-like substances can lead to physical and psychological dependence on these agents.
The risk of dependence increases the higher the dose and the longer the period of treatment. This risk is also higher in patients with a history of alcohol or drug abuse and/or those who have marked personality disorders. Withdrawal Treatment should be gradually withdrawn. A transient syndrome whereby the symptoms that led to treatment with Zopiclone tablets recur in an enhances form, may occur on withdrawal. It may be accompanied by other reactions including mood changes, anxiety and restlessness. Short-term memory loss (Anterograde amnesia) Zopiclone Tablets may cause a short-term memory loss (anterograde amnesia). This occurs particularly a few hours after taking the medicine. That nurse doesn't seem to know much about addiction.

The basis of addiction shouldn't be ascribed to particular substances or activities, because it resides within the brain of the person we call an addict.

We all have a need to 'feel good', but in people with addictive personalities this need is exaggerated for some reason, probably some kind of childhood trauma, and they haven't learned how to achieve the necessary level of 'feel good' from non-destructive activities, such as personal relationships and the sense of pride in achievements.

They can become 'addicted' to anything, from food to sex, and whether 'prescribed' or not.

Switching from one 'feel better' pill to another doesn't solve the real problem, but it does help Big Pharma's bottom line.

They are a b&^th to read, but the info will eventually be released in those reports....

So you are just waiting for someone to tell you what you want to hear.
That doesn't always answer the question.
The answer it to man up and pay the fine that YOU incurred.
Act like an adult and accept responsibility for your actions.
So you are just waiting for someone to tell you what you want to hear.
That doesn't always answer the question.
The answer it to man up and pay the fine that YOU incurred.
Act like an adult and accept responsibility for your actions.

I got a ticket (speeding) last fall on water st in Summerside....I think it was $87 if I remember right! Charged with going 49 km/h in a 40 km/h zone.
Did I think it was a fair ticket...no....but that doesn't give me any reasonable grounds to dispute it! So I paid the fine.

Lucky the lady cop caught me as I was pulling onto the street....another 50 yds and god knows how fast I would have been going!

And if that ticket had been $187 because here in PEI there a $100 surcharge, would you question it?

I know it was.....I was just being hypothetical and wondering how you would react if you did not think the fine was within a reasonable amount....

She believes the fryer wasn't hot enough (really soggy, almost mushy fries), and that the quality of the ingredients was low.

Obviously you get what you pay for; when going to a greasy spoon you aren't expecting fine dining.

For comparable price you can get Sam's or Linda's, both of which are superior. And Maids is a world apart from Red's Corner in Poole's Corner (I need to do a review on this place, such a treat!)...

Nope. A speeding ticket will cost you A LOT more in Ontario then it will here. If I speed here or I speed there the result is still the same, I am guilty of speeding and got caught. Not knowing the fines/surcharges cost more is not an excuse or reason to get out of paying it.

Same as if you go to a different country. They have different laws. If you go there ignorant of their laws and get caught doing something that's ok to do here in Canada guess what, your in their country you play by their rules.

Moral of my post..... Suck it up, Buttercup....
